As well as this, we have provided many bars and under-bar units for entertainment venues and independent pubs. Examples include a unique revolving bar at Crewe Hall Hotel in Cheshire and a 20 metre curved bar at The Lighthouse, Poole's Art Centre.

Restaurant: We supply equipment to one-off restaurants, take-aways and major restaurants that require project management. Examples would include Deliverance - a London based home delivery gourmet meals service and P & O Ferries.

Hotels: We supply catering equipment and bar equipment to this sector. Counters and bar equipment can blend into traditional and state of the art decor. Our mobile bar provides that extra facility for peak periods be it in a function hall or marquee.

Cost Sector :Atlantic House

Olympic were invited to tender for this large project, fitting out the catering facility for a legal practice occupying all twelve floors of a newly refurbished building in Holborn. The brief included: A self contained kitchen with counter for the senior partners dining room on level 12

Two pantries and sandwich transfer area on level 11 and a self contained kitchen, large servery area, Coffee Bar and separate dishwash area on level 3.
The client wanted a versatile dining area, combining full functionality and an atmosphere that suited different times of the day. This was achieved by ingenious use of lighting in both the room and the front panels of the food counters.

The brief was developed and our design department in consultation with the food service consultant, developed the fabrication drawings. Once approved, orders were placed for some 274 pieces of equipment.

This was a large project with many different trades involved, bringing with it many complications. Our project manager was resident on site which ensured communication with the necessary parties.

Pub and Bar : The Lighthouse - Poole's Centre for the Arts

The Lighthouse is now the largest UK arts complex outside London. At the heart of the public space is Danny Lane’s new 20 metre glass and steel curved bar, beneath which is a complete suite of BarOlympic units, designed to fit this remarkable piece .

BarOlympic supplied and fitted a range of units, incorporating wash hand basins, sinks with waste bins, ice wells, till stations and glass drainer racking together with glass door bottle coolers, ice machines, glass washers, and shaped pass through dishwasher tabling, designed and coordinated to fit within the curves and the irregular support posts.

The modular nature and flexibility of BarOlympic means that the bar system can be adapted easily to idiosyncratic bar designs ensuring that space is used to its optimum. As the units are assembled and welded in the factory, they are much stronger than conventional self-assembly systems and food standard 304-grade stainless steel is used throughout.

Hotel / Bar : Crewe Hall Hotel

The proprietor of this prestigious historic and listed hotel wanted a circular and revolving bar for his new brasserie extension, presenting a constantly changing view. Although a similar concept had been seen in America it is thought that was a first for the UK. BarOlympic came up with a competitive solution and set about designing this unique bar where the under-bar is constantly on display. A revolving, circular bar is always, by definition, at some stage showing the bartender’s eye-view to all guests facing the bar. Even if they are sitting still, they will get to see parts of the bar that normally only the staff see. So the bar had to be elegant all round – literally.

There were several unique challenges attributable to a revolving bar, in particular ensuring that the plumbing and services were not compromised by the bar moving. The bar was designed to create an efficient and ergonomic layout with integral storage to allow maximum efficiency and maximum interaction with the customers.
